The pilot
A new way to trade LNG OTC
Emstream is launching a dedicated OTC LNG platform, Emstream LNG, on EOM, alongside a free practice environment, EOM Practice, so you can get comfortable with it before going live. The plan is simple: get the platform in front of a broad spectrum of LNG market participants first, and build from there together.

Standard terms
Trade faster with sensible defaults
Introducing pre-defined Standard terms with a concept of Standard Plus, where you can modify the Standard terms. With key terms around ports, nominations, size and quality fixed in advance, a Standard order simply supplies the counterparty, delivery window and price. Anything a deal needs beyond that is captured as a custom term on the order, so counterparties on and off screen can communicate faster. You can also post high-level expressions of interest and fully bespoke terms.

- mNWE includes 13 discharge ports, from West Germany to Northern Spain, including the UK, Netherlands, Belgium and France
- mJKTC mirrors Platts JKM MOC terms
- mJKTC5 mimics Platts JKM MOC but with a 5 to 3 to 1 delivery window narrowing mechanism for those trading further out
- Nominations, size and quality are standardised
- Shown on the dashboard with a gold dot
Standard Plus
- Pre-populated with Standard terms but adaptable to suit more nuanced supply and demand
- Ports can be included or excluded
- Shown as “Standard+” on an order's term sheet
- Shown on the dashboard with a half gold, half white dot

Because the documentation is already agreed, counterparties can move straight to commercial terms, and EOM prints the completed term sheet the moment a deal is struck. The term sheets are proposed, and will be finalised at the end of the pilot.
