A monthly read of the voluntary carbon market, built straight from the live EOM order book rather than from survey submissions — spot and forward ask prices by sector and vintage, CORSIA CP1 Labelled and ICVCM CCP supply, bid levels, and where prices moved over the month. Every edition stays published, so the series reads as a price history.

An end-August snapshot of 1,055 live orders taken on 1 September 2026. CORSIA CP1 Labelled supply deepened to 17 asks and 1.55Mt — with forward CP1 offers appearing for the first time — while the EU tabled an ETS aviation revision that concluded CORSIA had "not been strengthened". Rwanda now dominates the labelled book.

Each assessment stays at its own address once published, so a figure quoted from any month can always be traced back to the edition it came from.
1,055 live orders. CP1 Labelled asks rise to 17 (1.55Mt) at an average $14.50 — above the ICE CORSIA benchmark — and forward CP1 supply appears for the first time. Rwanda dominates the labelled book after authorising up to 1.8Mt for Article 6 / CORSIA transfer. The ICVCM CCP label scales to ~108Mt across 38 methodologies; Microsoft cuts durable removal buying by ~80%.
985 live orders. Just 9 CP1 Labelled asks (1.33Mt) at an average $12.89, all spot — against Phase 1 demand estimated at ~137Mt. SBTi's revised Corporate Net-Zero Standard formally recognises high-integrity credits, Kenya caps ITMO transfers at 10Mt to 2030, and the CDM transition deadline pulls legacy supply out of the market.
How to read it
Offer levels, not trades. Prices are the ask (and bid) levels standing on the EOM order book, not executed transaction prices. Most orders on EOM are indicative.
A point-in-time snapshot. Each edition reads the book on a single day, so it is not a through-the-month average and it excludes orders posted and then withdrawn during the month. Where an edition reports month-long activity, it says so.
Labels are taken literally. The CORSIA section uses only the exact "CP1 Labelled" tag; "CORSIA", "CP1 Eligible", "CP1 Aligned" and "Article 6.2" are excluded, because those tags pull in supply that cannot be surrendered for Phase 1.
External claims are attributed inline. Market headlines carry their source and date. Anything that is EOM's own inference is boxed and labelled as commentary.
The assessment is built from the same live order book our members trade on. See the underlying prices, run your own cuts across sector, vintage and label, or take the history as data.
